Boring damned people. All over the earth. Propagating more boring damned people. What a horror show. The earth swarmed with them.

Charles Bukowsky

The nine-to-five is one of the greatest atrocities sprung upon mankind. You give your life away to a function that doesn’t interest you.

Charles Bukowsky

The leaders of the past were insufficient,
the leaders of the present are unprepared.
we curl up tightly in our beds at night and wait.
it is a waiting without hope, more like
a prayer for unmerited grace.

Charles Bukowsky

You know the typical crowd, Wow, it’s Friday night, what are you going to do? Just sit there?

Well, yeah. Because there’s nothing out there. It’s stupidity. Stupid people mingling with stupid people. Let them stupidify themselves.

I’ve never been bothered with the need to rush out into the night. That’s all. Sorry for all the millions, but I’ve never been lonely. I like myself. I’m the best form of entertainment I have.»

Charles Bukowsky

Mi ambición está limitada por mi pereza.

Charles Bukowsky

En el amor y en la guerra todo se vale. Menos arrastrarse.

Charles Bukowsky

I’m not in a contest with anybody, have no thoughts about immortality, don’t give a damn about it. It’s the ACTION while you’re alive. The gate springing open in the sunlight, the horses plunging through the light…The glory is in the motion and the dare. Death be damned. It’s today and today and today. Yes.

Charles Bukowsky
